B2B Sales Tools to Engage Your Prospects

It takes time to find, establish and nurture business to business relationships as you move opportunities through the sales funnel. Here are a few B2B sales tools to move the process along a little quicker:

Hear Them: Hootsuite Geo Search Tool

While it’s easy to search keywords and hashtags directly through Twitter, the Hootsuite Geo-search feature helps you filter out the noise when you’re trying to engage on a local level. If you have a Hootsuite account simply create a search stream with the keyword you want to monitor, click the geocode arrow button and adjust the radius of your coordinates depending on the geography you want to cover. If you want to search another location than your present one, go to Google Maps, right-click on a location and cut and paste the coordinates into your keyword search. Presto, you can listen in on a relevant, location-specific conversations. You can find more Hootsuite tips in this VA Partners blog post.

Find them: Hunter.io

You’ve identified who you want to talk to, but are trying to figure out a way to contact them. Without a second-degree connection through LinkedIn or a paid account, it may be difficult to message them on LinkedIn. Hunter.io works as a Google Chrome extension to help track down email addresses both through LinkedIn and on websites. With a single click, you can identify email addresses attached to a particular domain. Even if a specific contact isn’t listed there, the extension will usually be able to tell you the most common email pattern associated with that domain, such as [email protected]. The tool also lets you search for emails through LinkedIn, and pastes them directly into a leads list that can be accessed later. The free version permits a generous 150 searches per month. Just make sure your LinkedIn profile is up to date when others start investigating you, using these tips from our VA Partners blog post.

Woo them: Viewedit.com

You’ve found their email address. Now what? With the average B2B buyer getting hit with hundreds of emails a day how can you make yours stand out? Enter Viewedit from Vidyard. Viewedit helps you create personalized videos and embed them into your emails. It’s a great tool if you’d like to give your prospect a view of your product via a screenshot style record function while personalizing it at the same time. The free version provides full-screen video capture tools, while the paid version permits you to mix and match your personalized videos with standard demo videos.

Meet Them:

You’ve gotten their attention and they want to connect with you, excellent! Now it will just take four more emails to confirm a date, time and place to meet. While meeting booking tools have been around for some time, I haven’t found anything out there more easy to use than Calendly.com. With Google Calendar, iCloud, Office 365 and Outlook integration it covers almost all the email contacts I run into. You can book one to one meetings, groups, and there is team-wide functionality. While the free version works just fine, the paid version allows for customized reminders and further integrations with Zapier and CRMs.

Close Them:

So, you’ve heard them through a geo-targeted search channel on Hootsuite, found their email through Hunter.io, impressed them with a nice viewedit.com email, and booked a meeting on calendy.com.
