The Four Best B2B Mobile Sales Apps

b2b mobile apps

I have been involved with sales jobs for almost 20 years. It’s amazing how working out of the office has changed over time.

When I started, I had a roll of quarters for pay phones and a black and white laptop. Today, I have a smart phone, tablet, and laptop. The mobile devices of today are very powerful and can be extremely useful in the hands of B2B sales reps. There are many great ways to use your smartphone to support your efforts above the obviousness of texting, calls, and emails. Recently, there’s been an increase in the number of apps available that can be essential as part of the sales process. Here are the B2B mobile sales apps that I use on a regular basis.

1. Hootsuite

To get the best out of Twitter you really should be using a Twitter agent like Hootsuite. I use the web version, but have found that the mobile version is the best for my needs. All of my lists, searches, and setup transfers over to the mobile version. I use the Hootsuite mobile app to follow conversations at events, to connect with customers, as a research tool, and for much, much, more.

2. Linkedin

I use Linkedin every day and it has lead directly to new business both for VA Partners and our customers. Linkedin has drastically improved it’s mobile version recently, which in turn has increased my use of it significantly. I use the mobile version of Linkedin to message contacts, for information updates, and research while I am out of the office.

3. Salesforce.com

Every sales organization big and small should use a CRM. We use Salesforce.com and recommend it for our clients because of its scalability. Most of the better CRM systems have a mobile version, and Salesforce.com has a great app. Having your contact, account details, activities, and opportunities at your fingertips and always updated in the cloud is very useful. There are some unique additional mobile features on the Salesforce mobile app, like syncing between your call log on your phone and Salesforce.com.

4. Evernote

This is one of the newer apps that I have been using on a regular basis. Evernote allows you to capture notes, and many other media types remotely, and share across devices. I use it primarily to make notes while I am out of the office at events or in meetings and then action or add to our CRM once I am back in the office.

If you have any other B2B mobile sales apps that you think I should add to the list or explore please let me know. To get a better understanding on using Linkedin or Twitter as part of the sales process, download our whitepapers.
