In-person B2B Events

Over the last couple of months, I have been involved in a number of in-person B2B events.  The types of in-person event have includes a trade show, networking events, sales training, and meet-ups.  People, including myself, seem more comfortable with these in-person B2B events now after a long 3 years around Covid.  Things started to get slowly back to the new normal in 2022, but this year there have been more opportunities and attendance at these live events. I do like the efficiency and convenience of remote/virtual events, but I have really enjoyed these live interactions.  Here are a few of the things that are driving me to add more in-person B2B events to my schedule.

Feel Energized: I do find many live events give me energy from the interactions and atmosphere.  Many entrepreneurs and sales team members often working from home or hybrid in the office.  It is a great break from sitting in front of your computer. I wrote a blog several years ago about the first Big Dif at the Innovation Factory.

In-person Learning: I run many sales training sessions for entrepreneurs. There are many of the participants that enjoy and do better with in-person learning. We are working in-person sessions into many of our trainings. In some cases we are using tools to support a hybrid experience with those that are remote.

Off-line Conversations: Typically, when there is an on-line session with a group there are not much side conversations occurring. This changes significantly with in-person events.  At a recent event in KW, I was able to re-connect with a connection I had lost track of. It ends up there may be an opportunity for VA Partners with his new company.

There are many start-up events going on in communities near you.  If you would like to see what in-person B2b events we are spending our time at connect with me.
