For our newsletter, our team compiles a list of all the events we will be attending for the upcoming month, as well as some additional events we believe useful to the start-up and small business industry. If you missed our newsletter, we will be posting a blog with featured events the first week of every month.
The events we focus on are primarily in Toronto, the GTA, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton. Take a look through the events we are suggesting for this month. If you’re hosting an event or have come across one you think we should mention, please feel free to contact us with your suggestions.

If you live in or near Guelph, or would consider making the commute for an event, DempCamp Guelph is a great event for those in the technology industry. Whether you are the entrepreneur, working at a start-up or just live and breathe tech stuff, there is something for you at DemoCamp. Companies are encouraged to present if they have a company they think others should know about, however, you can attend whether you are a presenter or just a visitor.

DemoCamp Toronto follows the similar description of DemoCamp Guelph, but provides more convenience for Torontonians and those in the GTA. The event features cocktails and technology demos, catering to designers, developers and marketers.
The event is held on Thursday June 9th at 6:30pm-9:00pm. Located in the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University (55 Dundas St.W Toronto).
Agile #101 – Achieving Business Agility
Where: Sheridan College, B124 Theatre, B-Wing
When: June 14th, 7pm
You may be familiar with the term “Agile,” but have not heard of “Agile methodologies.” This meetup will introduce the concept and practices of Agile methodologies and how they can work for and within your business. The presenters include Michael Lant, CTO ENC Security Systems and Jason Little, Product Manager and Agile Champion, Q4 Web Systems.

Every company has a story and every company should also learn what their story is and how to tell it. This event will walk start-ups and small businesses through the logistics of using PR for your business and more importantly, figuring out if your business is ready for PR. Through education on the tools used for great PR, this event will aid any entrepreneur or small business owner in setting up their PR plan.

When: June 28th, 7pm
Almost everyone enjoys a night of exchanging and showing off their software ideas. Software Hamilton has partnered this event with a pub night at The London Taphouse in Hamilton. Come with anything you’re working on and share with others. Everyone will be free to walk around and see what other projects people are working on.
